Reflection of Week 3 Homelearning
I must admit that I have never pitched a tent by myself. There has always been my dad or grandpa to help me out.
I wasn’t exactly going very well at the beginning but I soon got the hang of it. (Kind of.)
My tent is very embarrassing. I have had it since I was about five or six and it is our only currently functioning tent. (Except for my dad’s tent which is really old and dirty.)
I kept trying to throw the cover over the top of the tent but I couldn’t quite do it. (Mum said it was very funny to watch. I wasn’t exactly entertained.) Eventually I managed to haul the cover over the tent and pin it down.
The ground was very soft because of all the rain we have been having, so it was easy to get the tent pegs into the earth.
I decided to leave the tent up overnight to see if it would stay up. I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t because we had a lot of wind last night but when I got this up my tent was still firmly in the ground. PHEW!
It is terrific Imogen to read your home-learning tasks here on your blog. You are so organised with all aspects of your learning. Keep it up! Miss O'B
